Food Foundry ---> SS17@PJ

We decided to head to SS17 Food Foundry for dinner, I have not been there for quite a while, when was the last time?mm.....months back i think... Justin seem to love pastries and would wanna give him a chance to taste the mille crepe, so off we go. Saw quite a few reviews that the food is not as good as it is now, compared to last time, but tasting is believing....so lets see how they fare..





Justin ordered a green apple soda, which he say its nice...

David is happy with his ice lemon tea....


Wan ordered a coke to quench his thirst after a long day of fasting....


Myself? Warm water...else no room for dessert...but mind u....warm water is RM0.50. Nothin comes free nowadays....


Caesar salad RM7.90

We decided to order a salad to be shared....the cheesy smell is overpowering, and Justin find it to "raw"....with the leafy taste...


Spaghetti Carbonara RM13.90

Was expecting spaghetti as the waiter has told it was pasta of the day, but turn out to be fettucini if I not mistaken that is. Too bland for my liking and not much meat and mushroom, wat I get was "spaghetti" and carbonara sauce...disappointing :(


Chicken Chop RM13.90

Mr. POWER ordered the chicken chop.... basically the chicken chop was so-so b'coz the mashed potato was not that nice but the only good thing about the chicken chop was the gravy.. ahaha.. food rating -->> LOW POWER

Pan Seared Duck Rm19.90

Justin had a Pan Seared Duck, when it was served it smells so good......the skin look crispy......




Me.....lamb cutlet with mint sauce....the mint sauce taste like plum with vinegar...not to my liking....the lamb is good...with the "lamb" smell...which I personally like. The mash potatoes is ok...with bits of potatoes...David find it very "chinese", and not enough butter when they prepare it. I tried it with David's cabonara sauce, it become slightly better, but still bland for me...I prefer strong flavor food.

Desserts

After an unsatisfying dinner, we ordered our desserts...

Chocolate mille crepe Rm9.00

The chocolate mille crepe is the favorite compared to the rest, the layers of crepe with right amount of chocolate juz make it taste good.

Vanilla mille crepe RM8.00

The Vanilla mille crepe is drier compare to the chocolate mille crepe, and hence when we r tucking into it, it seem to fall apart in between..


Apple Pie RM7.00

The apple pie is nothin to shout about, David say it is like McDonald apple pie...it does smell that way....along with the cinnamon taste, which I dun really fancy.....

Cheese cake RM8.00

Cheese cake is kinda hard...and under comparison I prefer the one from Secret Recipe ....
